Friends, Romeans, Country fans…

I do believe it is close. It has shown itself little by little. The temperature is dropping and soon winter will be upon us. Fear not Romeans, I have good news. Tomorrow we will be playing a show at Cook County Saloon. If you are the hibernating type then this will be a great opportunity for you to get out to see some live music and partake in the pre CFR festivities before your 6 month slumber.
– Wait a second Darren, you know we Romeans are made of more than that. We love live music and would travel through the frigid arctic in the middle of January to see you. Well at least we would drive 30 mins in the middle of a polar Edmonton winter…

- Yes I know Romeans, a hearty bunch your are. Like I said before, the good news is that you won’t have to do that. We have a show with The Orchard at Cook County Saloon on Wednesday November 11th. Show starts at 9pm so come on out and get your CFR festivities started right.

As we all know November 11th is Remembrance day. It is on this occasion we as Canadians should all take time out of our day to show our respect and gratitude for those who have given their lives and, in some cases, a piece of their soul to the preservation of the freedom we have and, at times, take for granted. War is happening on a daily bases and our soldiers are put in harms way to protect freedom in this world. Take the time out and partake in one of the many things going on in your area. If you see one of our Veterans or serving soldiers go up shake their hand and thank them.

Here is a list of some of the things going on in Edmonton

If you want to read an account of a recent battle here is a link. This could be a movie, but it is a real life account of one of the battles in Afghanistan.

Well Romeans, if you are in and around Edmonton there is so much great music going on during CFR and you have no reason to not go out and see at least one of your favourite bands.

Cling to your roots and keep an eye on the horizon.
