Friends, Romeans, Country Fans…

It is opening day of the CCMA weekend. Already it’s been pretty crazy. I left Edmonton at 20:45 hrs on Tuesday night and landed here in Nova Scotia at 6:15hrs Wednesday. From there I got into the rental car and drove to Moncton NB. (that’s New Brunswick, not New Balance) to have a visit with our good friend Shilo at XL 96.9. He’s always been good to us and a good hang.  From there it was up to Saint John to see Trish at 94.1. It was the first time we have met, but I like her already, good questions and a good sense of humour. If your are near any of these stations Romeans dial them up and listen in… oh and request our new single Pushing Up Daisies hehe.

We got back to Halifax about 19:00 hrs and had a pint of Big Spruce and a pretty killer salad at the Westin Hotel (Thanks Tammy, I got the rock star suite). From there I went for a late night stroll down the boardwalk taking in the sights and sounds of the pier. This is quite the town at night, I can’t wait to get out today and see it in the daylight.

A quick stop at a grocery store (where I ran into some of our Manitoba fans) to get some food and it was back to the hotel to play a little guitar before bed.

A few things… Joel Rathjen, our good buddy from The Boom Chucka Boys, had a birthday this week . Why don’t you get him a great gift and go buy the new BCB album.

Oh yea so far Picaroons has some of the best Craft beer I’ve tasted out here. The Dark and Stormy Night and the Yippee IPA were both excellent.

Sorry to be all over the place, still a little jet lagged.

Cling to your roots and keep an eye on the Horizon!
